Confirmed with a hybrid setup
The next generation of the Nissan GT-R has been rendered with influences taken from the Sport Sedan concept shown earlier this month at NAIAS in Detroit.
When the Sport Sedan concept was exhibited at the North American International Auto Show many people believed it's a preview for the next-gen Maxima, but let's not exclude the possibility some of the styling cues will be implemented in the new GT-R set most likely for a 2016 arrival.
It should be noted that Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer declared about two weeks ago the next generation GT-R will adopt a "brutal appearance." More importantly, he also said the supercar will feature a hybrid powertrain and as we reported last August the company has registered the "R-Hybrid" moniker.
