2008 Honda Civic Changes for Canada

Well, well. In Canada we have had a leather Civic for a few years now, it's been badged an Acura and has either been called a 1.7EL or more currently a CSX (not avail. in the US). There was a pretty good price premium to 'bend that H into a A' (and I've always wondered if the people who bought these things knew that the Accord EX-L leather was pretty much the same price), and it looks like Honda is looking to take the Acura line a little more 'upscale'. So, gone is the Acura CSX for 2008, and in is the 2008 Honda Civic EX-L, sedan and coupe! Yes. We are going to get a leathered up Civic, probably with a few other minor adds.

We will also be getting the much anticipated Si Sedan this year (those of you in the US have had this for a year now) and we have two new basic models, one DX adding AC only and the DX-G adds cruise control and alloy wheels. It seems like all models will get the subtle lip spoiler as well.

Should be a good year for Honda, they've positioned themselves well to combat the LONG awaited Toyota Corolla. (2009 now?!?) Can't wait for that car to come out, looks like it should be a nice car as well.

Honda's Legendary Crash Test Facility

With the ever increasing emphasis put on safety by automakers (and gov's forcing some automakers....) I though it would be interesting to put a little info together on the Crash test facility that Honda has to help them achieve some of the highest rating's out there. Here's the link;

2008 Honda Odyssey Mid Model Change

Looks like any changes to the Odyssey will be minor. Vtec.net has a descent write up on the van, keep in my the Pax tires are only available in the US, not Canada, our climate has something to do with it. Here's the link;

The official release date for the 2007 Honda Accord's in Canada is going to be September 22, 2007, and anticipation is building. Brenda Priddy has had a few pics floating around of the 2008's 'undisquised'. Here they are;
