2015 Honda CRV Minor Model Change Spyshots

Set to be unveiled next year

The 2016 Honda CR-V facelift has been caught on camera for the first time while undergoing testing in United States.

On sale since late 2011, the Honda CR-V is about to receive a makeover for the 2016MY as a prototype wearing extensive camouflage was spotted recently by our spy photographers testing on U.S. roads. The mid-cycle refresh for the fourth-gen CR-V will come with an extensive list of changes in the front fascia which will boast revised headlights, grille and also a different bumper.

The vehicle seen here also has camouflage at the back around the taillights, trunk door as well as on the lower section of the bumper. The side profile seems to be the same while the interior cabin isn't covered at all so there might not be any changes.

Engine options will probably carry over so the US model will continue with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine outputting 185 bhp (138 kW) and 163 lb-ft (221 Nm). The Euro CR-V will have a 1.6-liter i-DTEC rated at 118 bhp (88 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm). There's also a 2.2-liter i-DTEC with 148 bhp (110 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) and a 2.0-liter i-VTEC rated at 148 bhp (110 kW) and 142 lb-ft (192 Nm).

Depending on engine choice, customers will be able to opt for a front-wheel drive layout or an AWD system.

An official reveal of the 2015 Honda CR-V facelift (US-spec) will likely occur by mid-2015 and should be followed shortly by the European version.
