After bailing from the Detroit auto show for three years, Nissan was
back in 2012 and returns again in 2013. This year’s mega display even
promises to waft soft music and, get this, a brand-specific fragrance
throughout the stand. Prominent on that stage will be the Resonance
concept, said to be an “envelope-pushing crossover” with a gas-electric
hybrid powertrain. Scuttlebutt has it that the Resonance will preview
the next-generation Murano, which looks largely the same now as it did when it was launched just more than a decade ago. Just
what the concept means for Nissan should become more transparent when
the sheet is pulled off the Resonance next week in Detroit.
