US Auto Sales Down, HONDA Up

In todays Automotive environment, gas mileage, reliability, plus over all cost of ownership is dictating what people are buying and it is certainly being reflected in recent sales. Here are the results from the month of June 2008 as compared to June 2007. These are US numbers.

GM has reported a 18.5 percent decline in June sales.
Honda has reported a 13.8 percent gain over June 2007.
Toyota down by 21 percent (didn't see that one coming)
Hummer down 59.3 percent (saw that one coming)
Audi up 18.5 percent
Chrysler down by 36 percent (ouch)
Hyundai up 14 percent
Lexus down 21 percent
Mercedes-Benz up 12.4 percent
Mitsubishi down 35.2 percent
MINI up 41 percent
Nissan down 8 percent
Volkswagen up 13 percent
