If the car is not able to read the signals of the chips, it will not respond. This ensures that no one can access your car with another set of keys. Even if a thief breaks into your Car ECU chips and tries to hotwire it, it will not start rather trigger an alarm and notify you through your key.
I rather like that.
How about a Civic Version 5-door hatch.
