When will Honda Hybridize the HR-V for North America?

 

There is demand for the HR-V to have a Hybrid variant available in North America, and it feels like it's only a matter of time before Honda has that as a offering.  With the current HR-V having just been redesigned for 2023 and Honda has a typical 5yrs between redesigning the vehicle, my guess is that the 2028 Honda HR-V will be the year for the Hybrid powertrain to come to Canada and the US.

It was a sad day when Honda decided to discontinue the Honda Fit for North America, it truly showcased Honda's engineering with how the Magic Seats worked and how Honda could continue to make a 'small car outside, big car inside'.  No plans to bring the car back to North America.

2026 Honda Prelude....Finally!

 

I absolutely love what they did to the back end of this car, love the fender flares and the aggressive stance.  Would have loved if they had a manual transmission option (Honda makes one of the best manual transmissions out there, such a short throw), but I will learn to love the S+ mode.

Honda Teases All-New HR-V for North America

I have to say, this looks nice, a nice nod to the S2000 up front. It also has a normal rear door handle.  I hope we get the 2.0L i-vtec engine, run it up to about 165hp, but I am going to guess we will get the 1.5L turbo, probably around 175hp.
