I heard about this yesterday and paid it no mind, when I saw the video I couldn't believe my eyes....
Not sure what to think here.
Have you ever been so mad that you
undressed yourself entirely in full public view, jumped headfirst
through the sunroof a passing car and attacked the driver of the car?
Well, maybe not, but a guy did just that recently.
It's a normal Friday evening in Dallas, Texas. However, what happened
near the corner of Zang Boulevard and Oakenwald Street that day is
anything except normal.
From his apartment's balcony, a man managed to capture on film the most
crazy attack we've heard of over the past weeks. After seeing a man
undressing in the street, underpants and socks included, Marcus Payne
turned his smartphone's camera on and shot video of the man as he sat
naked in full public view.
However, the craziness didn't end there. Spurred by alcohol or combined
drug intoxication, the naked man was startled by a passing black coupe
driven by a woman. So what did he do in his manic state? Yup, he slid
into the open sunroof of the vehicle and started freaking out, attacking
the woman in the driver's seat.
"He started choking me, pulling my hair, pulling my eyes, and I couldn't do anything,"
she declared to the police and media. Naturally, the woman got scared
and lost control of the steering, crashing at a fairly slow speed
headfirst into a utility pole.
Luckily for her, a police interceptor was right behind and officers saw
every phase of the peculiar event. The Dallas police officers tried to
call the man off her before the woman crashed the black coupe, but
without result.
Fortunately, the woman got out of her car safe and sound, while the
attacker was escorted to the police station with handcuffs on. The
victim's car suffered $3,000 worth of damage she'll have to pay from her
own pockets.

Stuff.tv: Honda's airbag smartphone case is absolutely insane
Dropping a smartphone is a little like dropping a baby. Ok, maybe not quite, but the first time you see your precious 5in companion skid across a pavement, you feel every scrape and scratch, and your heart sinks. Honda has apparently taken this problem very seriously, and has created the mother of all smartphone cases to ensure that your phone will never be marked again. Well, we say smartphone case, but it's more of a smartphone vault - and it has a built-in airbag. Yes, airbag. The Smartphone Case N as it's called, packs in six airbags which deploy whenever an internal sensor detects a drop, thanks to a compressed CO2 canister. It's crazy, it's bonkers, and it's clearly just a proof of concept. But does that stop us from wanting one? Of course it doesn't. We'll take five. Cheetah Becomes Automated Automatic Car Transmission
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this one, had to pass it along, hope you get a kick out of it....
We’re pretty sure that the Lexus LX 470 in the adjacent image offers plenty of comfort, but it seems that there will always be some who are looking for more. When we saw the picture, we immediately understood what the driver had in mind when he offered a cheetah a shotgun ride: the need for extra comfort.
Judging by the way in which the leash of the feline sits inside the cabin, we expect the driver to use this creating a complex man-animal-machine gear changing system. - behold the automated automatic gearbox! The position shown here is for when the car is parked, when the animal musn't be able to operate the shifter.
Yes, he’s got an automatic, but he still has to navigate through the various positions of the shifter and since big cats are known to be extremely strong and are gifted with sharp senses, it’s probably easier to pull or release the leash in a way that determines you furry companion to operate the gear shifter.

Book: Hoffa is buried beneath the GM Building

Detroit— Some say Jimmy Hoffa is buried somewhere under the west endzone at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. Others say he was cremated in a Hamtramck garbage incinerator or dumped in the Florida Everglades. But a new book penned by a man who was Hoffa's driver and a Canadian journalist says the legendary Teamster boss is still in Detroit, buried beneath General Motors' headquarters at the Renaissance Center in Downtown Detroit.
The book — "The Weasel: A Double Life in the Mob" (Wiley; November 2011) — is the latest tome to expose what really happened to Hoffa. The book's authors are Marvin Elkind, a self-described "chauffeur and goon for mob bosses" who turned police informant, and Adrian Humphries, who has written two other books about the mafia.
Elkind claims he learned Hoffa was buried under the RenCen during a Teamsters conference in Detroit in 1985. Reputed mob boss Anthony Giacalone told him and a group of delegates, Elkind told the New York Post.
As the group left the hotel across the street from where the Renaissance Center was under construction, Giacalone nodded toward the new building's foundation and said, "Say good morning to Jimmy Hoffa, boys."

Chouteau Clerk Mistaken For Casey Anthony Attacked With Minivan
Wow, you've got to be kidding me.... sorry, not automotive related but I just couldn't help myself, follow the link and you'll see the news footage....
Chouteau Clerk Mistaken For Casey Anthony Attacked With Minivan: "An Oklahoma woman believes outrage over the Florida murder case almost cost her her life"
It happened in Chouteau last Friday night, July 8, 2011, just days after the Casey Anthony verdict.
Chouteau Clerk Mistaken For Casey Anthony Attacked With Minivan: "An Oklahoma woman believes outrage over the Florida murder case almost cost her her life"CHOUTEAU, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma woman believes outrage over the Florida murder case almost cost her her life. The 26-year-old says a crazed woman tried to kill her because the woman thought she was Casey Anthony.
It happened in Chouteau last Friday night, July 8, 2011, just days after the Casey Anthony verdict.
Sammay Blackwell hopes she never hears this again:
"You look like Casey Anthony, I'm like 'okay,'" she said.
"You look like Casey Anthony, I'm like 'okay,'" she said.
Blackwell doesn't think it's funny after what happened last week.
Blackwell works at a convenience store in Chouteau and said Shireen Nalley came in that night around 10 p.m. and looked strange, very suspicious, then left after buying gas.
"I just couldn't keep my eyes off of her," she said.
Sammay got off work at 10:30 that night and walked out to her car, which was parked on the other side of the building, and got inside.
"Began to back out and looked and I could tell she was staring directly at me; I could almost see the whites of her eyes," she recalled.
"I proceeded to pull out of the parking lot, and she was right behind me," Sammay said.
Blackwell drove a few miles and says Nalley suddenly rammed her van into the back of Blackwell's truck.

"I said, 'Oh my God, help me,'" Blackwell told News On 6.
She then pulled into a parking lot to get away.
"She hit me again, causing my vehicle to flip two and a half times, landing on the driver's side, and I just laid there playing dead," she said.
Blackwell's mother says she'll never forget her daughter's reaction.
"I got to her, she was crying, she was shaking, she says, 'Mama, this lady thinks I'm Casey Anthony and she tried to kill me," her mother said.
Police chased Nalley for a while and finally arrested her for assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Nalley told police she was "trying to save the children."

"I came out and a bear was crapping in my car and drinking my beer..."
I fell out of my chair laughing when I saw this one, hope you get a good laugh to!

As if it's not bad enough to come outside and find a bear sitting shotgun in your Volkswagen Jetta, to then find out the bear spent his time defecating in your Jetta really is the crap icing on the cake.
One has to imagine it's not easy for a bear to get inside a car, right? I mean, the not having opposable thumbs thing might make things a touch more difficult. So how'd the bear get inside? Here's what the Jetta's owner has to say over on Reddit:
"I live on a ranch where there are lots of bears...there was one that learned how to open open door handles. It got in and the wind must have shut the door, it got into 3 other peoples cars before getting shut in mine. it drank 4 beers, ate a bottle of mallox, and crapped all over the place."
Yeah, Maalox and beer'll do that to you. Especially when you have to sleep upright in a car overnight. (Thanks to Ben!)

The perpetually capsizing boat freaks out boaters everywhere
Totally off topic, but something that I had to share....

This boat may look like it's sinking fast, but don't worry, it's perfectly upright. That's because this boat, called "Love Love," was designed to look like it's in the process of going under.
The boat has a built-in motor and is able to move around just like any other boat, albeit a boat that will draw a lot more attention than your standard dinghy. It was created by artist Julien Berthier, and he's since taken it out to all sorts of places such as Canary Wharf in London and Normandy, Francy.
