Remember how you could buy a horse
and matching truck trailer for your Barbie toy set? Of course you don't,
because no self-respecting heterosexual would admit to the existence of
dolls and such. Even so, Honda has just unveiled an RV that looks just
like that thing, only you can live in it instead of a horse.
Separately, they're called the N-Truck and the N-CAMP and they're based
on the N-BOX. All-caps lettering aside, if the N-Box name doesn't mean
anything to you, this is a tiny 3.5-meter key car that's very popular in
Japan and comes with the typical 660cc engine. So yeah, that's a 10th
the size of a regular truck V8.
A 50 centimeter section has been cut from the back of the N-Box key car
to make the N-Truck, which is now a pastel blue two-seater. The N-Camp
recreational trailer attaches to its back and comes with a practical but
tiny interior, complete with a loft bed that's supposedly big enough
for two adults, though they'd probably have to be 5-footers.
Below that is a stylish living area with two green velvet armchairs, a
table and creature comfort features. Honda has even added two tiny vases
for the flower you pick on the outdoor adventure. On the outside, the
N-Camp has a Honda logo, a white roof and alloy wheels that match the
ones on the car.
We're pretty sure there will never be a truck and trailer pair cuter
than this. If you want to check them out and happen to live in Japan, do
so at the Japan Camper Show 2015, scheduled between February 13th and
the 16th (Valentine's weekend) at the Makuhari Messe.
